Responsibilities
The Steam Cleaner will:
- Work with experienced technicians to assist/learn
- Perform maintenance on mobile equipment
- Repair or rebuild all or part of equipment systems
- Service, repair, adjust and test all machine systems
- Operate high powered power washers to clean heavy mobile equipment
- Perform system checks and troubleshooting using proper diagnostic tools such as CAT ET, Cummins Insite, and John Deere Service Advisor
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete repairs
- Place orders for supplies and parts as needed
- Enter job times and parts on repair orders to track activity
- Picking up part orders on occasion
- Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly
- Performing other duties and projects as assigned by the Mobile Equipment Manager
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of off-road heavy equipment
- Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking systems, electrical systems, drivelines, steering mechanisms and suspensions
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipment
- Ability to manipulate components in hard-to-reach places with hands or tools
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
- Valid Chauffer's driver's license with a good driving record
- Valid CDL license or the ability to obtain one
