Summary

The IT Analyst I - Asset Management (Hardware) supports the daily and long-term strategic management of physical and logical IT assets Firm-wide. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software licenses and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. Initial duties would including assisting to institute the IT Asset Management program, which includes working with all IT infrastructure and operations teams to create a unified asset management program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation and allocation of distributed hardware assets and software licensing, and determine the allocation factors/methodology to distribute the costs equitably.
  • Formulate and implement processes and procedures for tracking and analyzing technical and financial data of company software, hardware, and equipment from requisition through retirement.
  • Perform inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets as needed
  • Effectively communicate asset management strategies to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Generate, distribute, and review relevant management reports
  • Help lead efforts with IT managers to set configuration standards, and assist with maintenance of product lifecycle roadmaps.
  • Form procurement, inventory, deployment, and retirement strategies, which optimize technology management throughout the life cycle of the asset(s) and across the Firm.
  • Control and document changes to assets and configuration items through asset management and change management processes.

Qualifications

  • Highly organized and able to create project plans for execution
  • Ability to organize and lead meetings in line with ITAM objectives when needed.
  • Expertise in working with inventory, asset acquisition & disposal, procurement streams, and configuration management.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize work streams.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years' experience in an inventory management or hardware/software procurement and management

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Proficient in Configuration Management databases and systems
  • Proficient in Requisition, Procurement, and accounting systems
