Summary
The Senior Manager, Tax Accounting is responsible for the quarterly and annual tax provision as well as the financial statement reporting for income taxes. This includes the consolidated tax provision and the separate subsidiary tax provisions, both foreign and domestic. In addition to the income tax provision, the individual will assist the Tax Director on tax planning, structuring, mergers and acquisitions, tax audits, and special projects as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Responsible for the monthly tax entries, interim tax provision, and annual tax provision along with the related financial statement 10-Q and 10-K disclosures by having a detailed understanding of ASC 740.
* Determine and understand changes to the effective tax rate, income taxes payable account, and deferred tax asset account.
* Review ASC 740-10 (FIN 48) reserve calculations and footnote presentation on a quarterly and annual basis.
* Review and understand income tax compliance as it relates to foreign entities such as the inclusion of GILIT, BEAT, and FDII as well as Form 5471, 8858, 8865, Country by Country Reporting, and Transfer Pricing.
* Work on tax planning and acquisition structuring/implementation with the Tax Director
* Have a detailed understanding the Internal Revenue Code and be able to research tax positions.
* Model and understand future tax law changes both foreign and domestic.
* Manage a team of 2-4 individuals

Qualifications
* Extensive experience and proficiency with tax accounting concepts (ASC 740) and the preparation of the tax provision
* Detailed analytical ability to review data, systems, and process to identify and resolve issues
* Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field
* Strong understanding of the financial markets and the financial services industry
* Managerial experience

Education and Experience
* Minimum Required: Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
* Master's Degree Preferred
* Minimum Required: 10+ years' of tax accounting experience (ASC 740)
* Background in the ONESOURCE tax suite of products.

Licenses and Credentials
* Minimum Required: Series 99 or obtained within 6 months
* CPA Preferred

Systems and Technology
* Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products
* Understanding features of Alteryx, Power Query/Power Pivot, and Power BI Pro
