The Machine Sales Specialist is responsible for quoting, coordinating and serving as the interface between the quoting, sales and inventory process. This position will work closely with the Sales team to process quotes and funnel machines through the sales and inventory process.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Research and locate machines and/or attachments that meet customer needs to complete sales transaction.
  • Draft and communicate price quote and credit terms utilizing applicable manufacturer incentives, while maintaining appropriate profit margins; prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Prepare and present reports of business transactions; maintain expense accounts.
  • Initiate and follow up on make ready process, review description, and shipment to customer on all new Cat and new Non-Cat machines and attachments.
  • Coordinate and communicate make ready shops.
  • Assist salespersons and management with: pricing and availability of new machines and attachments for sales team, including appropriate application of product.
  • Initiate shipment to end users and store transfers.
  • Complete make ready forms for new machine sales and leases.
  • Initiate and maintain reservations on orders, machines, and attachments.
  • Review machine make ready forms, freight invoices and work orders.
  • Initiate machine deal sheets and verify descriptions before billing.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel Spreadsheet software.
  • Strong communication, presentation, decision making and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to demonstrate group presentation skills and participate in meetings.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Tolerance for and capacity to take calculated risks to accomplish sales goals.
