As a Windows System Administrator, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining solutions in support of a national security mission to maintain the safety, security, and effectiveness of the United States nuclear weapons stockpile. Working as part of the IT organization's IT Operations team, the Windows System Administrator position offers you the ability to install, manage, upgrade, and maintain existing Windows based infrastructure in a large, distributed network environment. In addition, you will work with IT engineering and project management to implement new technologies.
You will also be responsible for configuring user access, maintaining the stability of the system and working with customers or other IT professionals to resolve issues or implement new capability.
* Design, install and configure internal and customer-facing servers.
* Administer and support core Microsoft Windows-based technologies.
* Install and configure Windows-based third-party/COTS applications.
* Monitor and update the Windows OS and installed applications in accordance with Cyber Security requirements.
* Perform monitoring and troubleshooting of Windows systems and servers.
* Provide after-hours support for emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.
* Develop and maintain current operational procedures, user documentation, and user training materials applicable to the supported systems.
* Work with IT project management organization and the Chief Technology Office to deliver solutions on schedule
