What You'll Do
  • Manages and directs the day-to-day activities of team members responsible to:
    • Develop and manage a digital transformation strategy across multiple disciplines, locations, and organizations
    • Perform high-level data analysis and provide results based expert advice to leadership
    • Demonstrate innovation when designing applications, architectures, and solving complex IT problems
    • Collaborate with leaders across departments on an enterprise-wide scale
    • Reimagine products and services for a maturing digital landscape that aligns with the enterprise mission and vision
    • Track and document requirements and deliverables for enterprise digital transformation projects
    • Monitor current and future trends in technology which will positively affect organizational decisions
    • Act as the senior technical resource for digital transformation projects and business units needing direction with digital transformation
    • Work with other Enterprise Architects, engineers, and outside vendors to develop solutions which align to organization and mission needs
    • Work effectively as part of the CTO providing technical guidance to the business
    • Ability to interact with senior leadership and customers to promote current technologies and solutions
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Supports and promotes an environment which relies on teamwork and collaboration
    • Ability to take larger projects and break them down into manageable work units
    • Possess a strong understanding of the correct level of detail that is needed for each deliverable

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience. Minimum 3 years of management experience.
Preferred Job Requirements
  • Proven knowledge of commonly used programming languages such as Java, C/C++, and SQL
  • Familiarity with software development frameworks such as Agile and DevOps
  • Familiarity with emerging IT trends such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence
  • Proven skills with data analysis and visualization
  • Proven experience in effectively handling multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong presentation skills, interpersonal communication skills, time management skills, organizational skills, and oral and written skills.
  • Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and to work effectively as part of a group with diverse backgrounds and skills.
  • Proven experience in managing an IT architecture, infrastructure, development, or strategy team or equivalent.
  • Ability to logically and systematically evaluate project and process problems to determine appropriate solutions
  • Experience in conflict resolution with individuals or a team
  • Exercises initiative and independent judgment and discretion under limited supervision
  • 5+ years of experience in a data analyst, or architecture role
  • 5+ years of experience with Enterprise platforms and services
  • Strong cyber security background preferred
  • The candidate must also have the ability to present technical and operational information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word, solve complex technical problems, and be alert to changes that may affect the security and operational environment of systems.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
