Job duties include the installation, operation, and support of multiple large scale SAP R/3 ECC 6.0 systems and other enterprise products including Kronos Workforce Central, Oracle/Hyperion, and PeopleSoft. Providing daily operational support and monitoring of existing installations. Maintaining current environments in a safe and secure mode providing patching, configuration, and troubleshooting and problem solving as necessary. Participating in on-call rotation for off hours support. And to follow change control and SQA practices.

Further expectations include establishing and providing technical insight and expertise for enterprise-scale IT service design, delivery, and operations of multisite ERP and other enterprise systems. Employing the ITSM/ITIL framework and the capabilities of ServiceNow to support all aspects of the IT Service Lifecycle, including support for the Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes along with IT Service Continuity Management to assure efficient and effective IT Operations Management. Utilizing ITIL based metrics and Service Level Agreements to establish service excellence through system reliability and effective Incident and Problem management. And to work closely with Cyber Security to ensure controls are in place for the protection of IT assets.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline
  • OR a Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline
  • Eight or more years of relevant education, training, and/or progressive experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
Preferred Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a PhD.
  • OR a Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in various IT disciplines, including System Administration, Software Development, Application Architecture and Design, Integration, and Customer Support
  • Experience in designing, maintaining, and implementing large scale enterprise business systems and Enterprise
  • Resource Planning (ERP) environments. Demonstrated experience with SAP ERP products and deployment projects HANA DB, and Oracle DBMS. Three (3) or more years of direct experience with system administration of Unix based platforms (preferred Solaris, Linux)
  • Direct knowledge of SAP Basis administration
  • Experience in installation, maintenance, and operations of SAP ERP product suite in multiple environments Linux, Solaris, Windows)
  • Close collaboration with IT Technical Leads, Business Process Owners, Cyber Security, IT Service Management, IT Project Management, and various IT managers within IS&S
  • Proficiency in SAP configuration and development, system deployment and operations, and integration with external systems
  • Desired skills are SAP R/3 Basis Administration, Linux System Administration, System Architecture, troubleshooting and operations of multiple SAP ECC installations, ABAP, HTML5
  • Experience with Kronos Workforce Central, Oracle/Hyperion, and other enterprise application software desired.
  • Preferable in the areas of installation, maintenance, and operations support
  • Knowledge of ITIL, experience with system consolidation efforts, and strong technical understanding of a broad spectrum of Information Technologies, as it relates to IT Service Development, Deployment, and Support
  • Preferably has a background in ABAP development, including knowledge of Business Server Page (BSP) and UI5/Fiori

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
