Position Description

The College Recruitment Coordinator plays a crucial role in advising prospective students and families about educational opportunities, admission processes, financial assistance, and university policies. This position involves active participation in recruitment events, coordinating on-site information sessions, and serving as a liaison with various stakeholders. This title is reserved for the School of Veterinary Medicine.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Counsels and advises students and families about educations opportunities, admission, financial assistance, and university policies and requirements.
  • Participates in recruitment school visitations and college programs for prospective students; coordinates on-site information events at 4-year universities, two-year institutions, and high schools; represents the university in its recruitment efforts and in providing special outreach services in the community and state. (This includes giving admissions presentations, one-on-one appointments, career fairs, Zoom presentations, etc.)
  • Acts as liaison with various constituencies including students, parents, high school officials, faculty, academic departments, college and alumni.
  • Assists with admissions process, including processing applications, assisting with transcript review & compliance with entry requirements.
  • Assists with events, as available and needed
  • Develops and implements recruitment strategies, prepares annual recruitment report and evaluates effectiveness annual with school's leadership.
  • Maintains communication via telephone, correspondence, and/or email with prospective student through all stages of the recruitment, admission, and enrollment process.
  • Assists with facilitating admissions committee meetings, and documenting attendance, and take meeting notes
  • Utilizes computerized systems to communicate with students, process admissions, prepare reports, and/or analyze data.
  • Orders recruitment supplies as needed for the academic year events.
  • Review unsuccessful applicant information and provide counseling for such
  • Supports director in coordinating school events such as, Interview Days, White Coat Ceremony, and Graduation.
  • Offers tours of TTU SVM and one-on-one recruitment meetings.
  • Cross trains in student services responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree plus three years experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Public speaking skills
  • Experience working in higher education

Pay Statement
