What You'll Do

Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

Establishes baseline configurations, documents configuration requirements, ensures the establishment of configuration identification, ensures modifications are managed through a formal change and work control process, assesses both physical configuration and associated documentation. Ensures CM principles are executed over the entire lifecycle of the configuration item.

Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, equipment specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes project documentation to ensure successful turnover of project documents to end users and subject matter experts. Coordinates modification records for management control.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline from an accredited program with at least 2 years of related experience.
    • Typical experience ranges from 4 to 7 years.
  • Master's degree in a technical or business-related discipline from an accredited program.
  • 10 or more years of combined relevant education, training, and/or progressive experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements for this posting.
Preferred Job Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years job related experience preferred.
  • The position requires the ability to provide frequent communication and interactions with variety of customers, both internal and external.
  • Must present information clearly and effectively through oral and written word.
  • Typical experience could range from two to fifteen plus years.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
