What We Need:

We are looking for an Architecture & Design Manager in the Los Angeles, CA territory.

As the Architecture & Design Manager, you will work within the Architect & Design community, in the Los Angeles. You will be responsible for increasing business development success rate and driving mindshare growth to increase right-to-win scenarios for Allsteel, Gunlocke, and partnership brands in the region. Additionally, this role will develop and execute key strategies to improve our architect and design accounts by creating and initiating sales activities and marketing plans relative to targeted accounts to build mutually beneficial relationships.

What You Will Do:

  • Build brand acceptance, trial, and preference. Develop professional and productive business relationships with Architecture and Design firms that educate, excite, and engage them with our brands.
  • Contribute to sales - local and regional wins - through solutions development, including needs analysis, product positioning, application consulting and competitive intelligence. Support account development and retention initiatives relative to workplace and product strategies within select significant accounts.
  • Take leading role in major client presentations, mockup plans, and product positions where Architecture and Design is involved with furniture selection on client projects.
  • "Target 10" firms on annual basis to improve Allsteel's overall standing in those firms; and track/report progress of these and other firm activities through timely updated in Salesforce.
  • Create industry visibility and strong social ties through participation in industry related groups and activities; including those that support our dealer partners.
  • Oversee provision of COM info, literature, pricing, images, samples, and other support materials to Architecture and Design firms or other influencers.
  • Align with local sales team on consultative selling best practices, product/showroom presentation/merchandising skills, mockup presentations, specification development with designers, and relationship building design firm-wide (principals, studio/design leadership, designers, project managers).
  • Identify CEU topics that are timely and related to current business climate and will help elevate brand. Work with marketing/WPA/Director, Strategic Accounts to create presentation deck and approval with IDCEC, AIA, USGBC, WELL.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in consultative sales environment required.
  • Proven connections and networked amongst the Real Estate community in assigned territory.
  • Furniture or related industry (interiors) experience preferred.

What You Are Good At:

  • Significant experience in sales (interiors) and a proven ability to close business.
  • Knowledge of office environment issues and general business trends.
  • Ability to identify and positively influence key decision makers and influencers.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, organization, and customer (internal and external) support orientation.
  • Ability to successfully interact across business functions, from Allsteel HQ to the field sales members and independent dealers.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
