Position Overview
This role is responsible for the management of projects, programs, and initiatives from conception through execution that are mainly affiliated with the Central Service Center (CSC). The CSC is the university cost center for services associated with faculty members that provide services to external stakeholders. Working closely with some of the University Relations leadership team, senior leaders within the various units, and functions across Marquette, the role will support and coordinate initiatives, promoting effective and efficient execution and foster collaboration among cross-functional teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Project management of key activities and initiatives, including determining and assigning roles to project team members, facilitating strategic conversations and project meetings, managing timelines, project scope and project deliverables, and developing reports of project initiatives.
2. Collaborate with Economic Engagement Coordinator in translating strategy into a project charter, including budget, stakeholders, timelines, milestones, deliverables, etc. and oversee implementation of plan
3. Assist in student hiring and communication for CSC and Innovation Alley projects
4. Establish and document more formalized processes of the Central Service Center (CSC)
5. Provide ongoing project communications, ensuring that stakeholders are informed of strategy, budgets, milestones, and deadlines.
6. Determine and implement appropriate methods or tools for data collection. Synthesize and report information into understandable and useful findings to inform project direction.
7. Prioritize projects among competing demands to ensure proper focus and allocation of time and resources.
8. Act as a resource to the Associate Vice President for Corporate Engagement, the Economic Engagement Coordinator, the ED of Innovation Alley, and other University Relations staff in preparation for key meetings and events
9. Establish effective mechanisms to communicate and report on progress of initiatives, projects, and programs.
10. Raise issues to project owner in a timely manner, facilitating the timely resolution of project challenges.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

2 years of related experience.

Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated attention to detail, professional attitude, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
